Are you aware of Wikipedia Masry?

http://arz.wikipedia.org

This is yet another attempt to destroy our Arabic language and we are here to make sure it fails. Egyptian, or Masry as they call it, is not a language it is merely a slang alteration of Arabic. It is no better or worse than other Arabic Slang derivatives such as: Saudi, Kuwaiti, or Lebnani. Never the less, Masry is the only that has its own Wikipedia.

We already have a beautiful language, a language that has been used by Allah to communicate to Holy Prophet Mohammad PBUH, it is a divine language, and it is called Arabic. Throughout history the world has been mesmerized by the Arabic Language with all its eloquence and glory, and what do we do; we denounce and try to replace it.

Arabic is one of the few languages that haven’t been altered as time passed by. Try reading any piece of literature written in Arabic, be it modern or ancient, and you will see what we are talking about.

Our allegiance lies with Islam and Arabism before it is to Egypt and this is our only way to climb out of the ditch that we have pushed ourselves in. I have a dream; I have a dream to see all Arabs and Muslims united under one flag, to see Arab brothers working in harmony instead of fighting one another. I have dream to Arabic the most widely adopted language throughout the world. Ladies and Gentlemen I have a dream. But alas, unlike Dr. Martin Luther King, I fear I won’t live to see my dream come true. But I’ll be damned before I see it destroyed while I still breathe.

We are great fans of Wikipedia and all what it stands for. But we denounce Wikipedia Masry and the motivation behind it.

We here by condemn Wikipedia Masry and all of its Founders. We accuse them of Conspiracy against the Arabic Language. We accuse them of High Treason against Arabism.

Signed,
